Stephanie Craft

Stephanie Craft is an LISW-S (Licensed Independent Social Worker/Supervisor) with 11 years of experience in the field of social work. She obtained her BA from Shawnee State University in 2004 and would later be awarded the distinguished Alumnus Award from SSU in 2009.

Upon graduating with her MSW from the University of Kentucky in 2007, she developed the oncology social work position at the SOMC Cancer Center. While in that position she also created the SOMC Patient Compassion Fund at the Cancer Center, which began with a $50 donation from a patient’s family in their memory, and that fund has grown and continues to be in place today.

Prior to attending grad school and earning her MSW, Stephanie served in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman until 2002. She currently still serves as the First Vice Commander of the American Legion James Irwin Post #622.

Stephanie has experience in medical social work, hospice, substance abuse, long term care, Veteran’s issues, domestic violence and community mental health. As part of her position at Valley View she treats children, adults and families in a private setting as well as coordinates care with community agencies and county courts as a patient advocate.

Stephanie resides in Scioto County with her family and enjoys attending her son’s soccer games at SSU, travelling during her time off, and being an active member at her church in Otway, OH.

Patients can self-refer for a counseling appointment with Stephanie or can be referred by their provider if preferred.
