Promoting Healthy Lifestyles and Wellness: Tobacco Cessation Project

Valley View Health Centers is thrilled to join forces with the Ohio Association of Community Health Centers (OACHC) and other community-based health centers across Ohio. Together, we champion healthy lifestyles and wellness through our impactful Tobacco Cessation Project.

Our Tobacco Cessation Project aims to:

1. Prevent Initiation of Tobacco Use: Implementing strategies to prevent the start of tobacco use, particularly among young people.

2. Increase Evidence-Based Screenings: Enhancing the frequency and quality of tobacco use screenings in our health centers.

3. Increase Referrals for Tobacco Cessation Treatment: Refer more patients to effective tobacco cessation programs.

4. Increase Cessation Attempts: Encouraging more attempts to quit smoking through supportive interventions.

5. Increase Patient Engagement in Treatment: We are proud to share success stories of patients who have successfully quit tobacco use. These stories can inspire and motivate you to take the first step toward tobacco cessation.

6. Increase Awareness of the Ohio Tobacco Quit Line (OTQL): This involves raising awareness among providers, staff, and patients about the resources available through the OTQL.
