Ali Penn, Certified Nurse Practitioner, is a lifelong resident of Pike County and provides family care at Valley View Health Center in Waverly. Ali is a 2005 Piketon High School graduate that currently resides in Waverly with her husband, Caleb, and daughter, Lilly. Ali graduated from Shawnee State University in 2007 with an Associate Degree in Nursing and started practicing as an RN at Adena Regional Medical Center. A majority of her time was dedicated to Adena’s Women’s and Children’s Unit where she practiced as a labor and delivery nurse for 6 years. In 2010, Ali graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Ohio University, then continued her education by obtaining a Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing focused in Family Nurse Practitioner, also from Ohio University. In 2013, Ali began working as a CNP with Valley View and has continued to do so. Ali also dedicates her time to volunteering for the Pike County Hope Clinic to provide health care to the uninsured.
Ali enjoys serving in the county in which she was born and raised. She has developed a passion for providing care to the generally underprivileged community at an affordable price. Primary care is vital in preventative care and health maintenance, and she recognized the need locally for more providers. She is passionate about women’s and men’s health screenings and appropriate chronic disease management.
In her spare time, Ali enjoys spending time with family and friends, and loves to watch her daughter participate in extracurricular activities. She also is a member at Buchanan Christian Union Church, where her husband is a worship leader.
